I'm Christy Turner, founder and senior editor of Hearth Diaries. Nine apartments in twelve years, none over 900 square feet, and a tape measure in every bag. I write about decorating the rooms you're not allowed to change.
New posts, apartment finds, and the occasional measuring-tape rant. No spam.
Hearth Diaries exists for people whose homes came with a lease and a list of things they're not allowed to change. We cover small-space layouts, renter-friendly fixes, storage that earns its footprint, and honest advice about furniture that actually fits. Founded by Christy Turner, and built on nine apartments' worth of firsthand experience.
Every article on Hearth Diaries is researched, fact-checked, and reviewed by a human editor before it publishes.
